the oracle user on my system has the wrong GID, without 55(dba)
id uid=59(oracle) gid=54(oinstall) groups=6(disk),54(oinstall)
after I have changed in the passwd the oracle user to oracle:x:59:55:Oracle user:/opt/oracle:/bin/bash
/etc/init.d/oracle start
runs perfectly. Thanks for the help and the complete explanation how oracle check the authentication.
regards reinhard
